Winery Associate

We are looking for a Winery Associate who shares our vision and is interested in a fast-paced hospitality-based role. This is a casual, seasonal position which includes weekday and weekend shifts.

Duties of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Pouring samples and serving tables with excellent customer service
  • Managing our stand at some farmers markets and helping at special events
  • Packaging wines and processing transactions with our Square point of sale system
  • Greeting customers as the arrive with a friendly, helpful introduction
  • Responding to inquiries about our products, local history, and local area offerings
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the wineshop, outdoor patio, and picnic area

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be a brand ambassador and tell our story with pride
  • An interest in using / acquiring wine knowledge
  • Serving It Right Certification, or willing to complete before employment begins
  • Experience in hospitality / tourism is an asset, previous work experience or knowledge of the wine industry (strong asset but is not required)
  • Driver’s license is a strong asset

 

Winery Assistant (Student)

We are looking for a student registered in post-secondary school to join us as a Winery Assistant for the summer. This is a fast-paced multi-faceted hospitality-based role with plenty of opportunities to learn about agricultural and viticulture practices, operations, wine production, customer service and hospitality management. The duties include helping in all areas of the business including in the vineyard, in the tasting room and potentially at the Saturday farmer’s market. This is a 30-35 hour per week, seasonal position with weekday and weekend shifts, starting in late April or May to the end of August. Duties of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers as they arrive with a friendly, helpful introduction
  • Helping in the vineyard and grounds from time to time – tying shoots, raking, watering and light weeding
  • Responding to inquiries about our products, local history, and local area offerings
  • Pouring samples and serving tables
  • Packaging wines and processing transactions with our Square point of sale system
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the wineshop, outdoor patio, and picnic area
  • Managing our stand at some farmers markets and helping at special events

Our ideal candidate will be interested in helping in the vineyard, tasting room and farmers market and have:

  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to be a brand ambassador and tell our story with pride
